Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is an international fellowship of people who have experienced difficulties in life as a result of our relationship to food and eating. We joined FA because we were obsessed with food. We have found that we need this program of recovery and the fellowship of others who share our problem in order to stop abusing ourselves with food and begin living fulfilling lives. Through shared experience and mutual support, we help each other to recover from the disease of food addiction.
Our program of recovery is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. We make use of AA principles to gain freedom from addictive eating. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings. Membership is open to anyone who wants help with food.
Our classes are offered in 8 week segments with spring, summer and winter vacations between. Classes are created and supervised by Carolyn Caswell, MFT.
Classes are usually held in the evenings at Terrace Knoll Enchanted Sanctuary a wildlife refuge and learning center in the foothills of Mt. Washington. Classes are absolutely free of charge and while donations are accepted they are not solicited nor mentioned.
Big Fundraising Ideas is a nationwide school fundraising company based in Texas that has been helping groups raise money since 1999. It is our mission to help each group find and implement the best possible school fundraiser while providing unsurpassed customer service. We offer 2 ways for groups to raise money:
One option is to sell items out of a brochure. This way, groups can collect the money up front, then submit their order for processing. We offer a complete line of fall and spring seasonal shoppers, cookie dough, frozen food and specialty brochures like popcorn and flowers. We also provide a large selection of prize programs that can be tailored to the type of group.
A second option is to order the product and then sell it direct to consumers for a profit. We offer a variety of peanut-free candy bars, beef jerky products, pretzel rods, lollipops, popcorn, as well as customizable discount cards, scratch cards and custom school mugs. 4 convenient payment options are available, including submitting a purchase order, signing an agreement, paying by check or credit card.

CBI's flag ship program is our Youth Business and Mobile Application Development (YBMAD) is our ongoing youth program. This training is target to our youth between the ages of 8 - 26. Statics and quantifiable research show that if we can impact a child’s life early enough we can change the outcomes of their lives. The most important thing we can do to change and improve our communities is to create better community members and it starts with our youth. This program is designed to introduce Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) to under-served youth. Our Mobile app development programs teach them basic application development then they proceed to the next level of programming. Then we take them through our business training program, then show them how to monetize or sell the apps they create. But most of all we use the medium of coding or game development as a tool to engage them so we can teach them personal development and a skill that will change their lives.
